Liquid Silicone Injection Molding (LSM) makes use of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR), a two-part catalyzed product. Two components with the consistency of toothpaste are mixed in a precise ratio and pumped into the tool in the injection machine to be vulcanized or cured. The resulting part is then ejected and packaged for delivery.
This liquid silicone injection molding process has many benefits:
- Fast cycle times allow high volumes
- Cost-effectiveness due to an efficient process
- Fully automated for increased consistency and tight tolerances
- Inherently clean – no material preparation is required
- “Runner-less” and “Flashless” molding is available
Sincere Tech Rubber has always been a leader in liquid silicone molding, which is also known as LIM or LSR. We have more than 30 machines from 28 to 275 tons to meet your varying needs. This material is well suited for the Medical Industry (for its bio-compatibility) and for tight dimensional, high production silicone products. We stock nearly 40 different materials that we can color to suit your needs, or specialty blends and additives can be used to meet your performance criteria.
We’re an FDA registered, ISO 9002 certified, precision molded rubber company. While our initial reputation was built on LSR molding, our rubber molding expertise quickly spread to include other engineered polymers such as nitriles, neoprene, EPDM, butyl, polyisoprene, silicone, natural rubber, and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) process like plastic, but have the soft feel of any elastomer. Many of our thermoplastic elastomers, thermoplastic urethanes (TPU), silicones, and liquid silicone rubbers are manufactured by globally recognized ISO 9002 certified companies.
As a primary supplier to the medical device manufacturing industry, our customers know they can rely on Hi-Tech Rubber as a supplier who understands the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), the responsibilities of process control through compliance to ISO 9002 standards, and the GMP requirements of being an FDA registered company. Our class 100,000 injection molding cleanroom and reverse osmosis cleanroom washing system helps assure strict adherence to the supply of medical-grade rubber components for life support systems.
Our rubber molding technologies include, among others, injection molding and flashless molding. Although injection molding allows for much quicker cycle times, flashless molding provides rubber parts needing no secondary operations. This translates into savings for our customers.
Whether you’re looking for medical molding or industrial molding, thermoplastics or thermosets, seals or diaphragms, you can find it all at Hi-Tech Rubber. From our use of liquid silicone molding (LSM) for tight tolerance medical parts to our use of polyisoprene, no other rubber molding company offers the molding technologies or quality systems that Hi-Tech Rubber has in place.
